Man and his Shadow
This exhibition, co-produced with the non-profit organisation Afrique au Cœur (whose name means "Africa in my Heart") and run with the support of the French Community of Belgium, pulls us in to discover the shadows... Multiplicity and Multiple cities: Mireille Lienard - Bob Verschueren
Works by two artists, Mireille Liénard and Bob Verschueren, at Salle Saint-Georges and in the space at the Jardin du Mayeur ("Mayor's Garden") will awaken and increase public awareness, appealing to all ages, about the social ethics which are inseparable from the term "culture".
City Sonic
At Salle Saint-Georges, the City Sonic festival will give carte blanche to the FRESNOY contemporary art studio, as well as hosting the Livescape collective, which will present a multimedia and sound project.
Domestic treasures
The exhibition "Trésors domestiques" provided the opportunity to present a selection of some of the most beautiful ornaments produced by manufacturers within our region, complemented by a number of exceptional pieces produced by the Doyen d’ Havré glassworks, which is now closed. The passion of collectors has saved our domestic treasures from fading from memory.
Design on models
As part of the series of exhibitions at Salle St Georges on the theme of "Culture and Society", an original exhibition of paper clothes will open in late summer 2009. The first section will present a collection (never before shown) of patterns for paper clothes found on markets in Kenya, among the slums.
